The problem

Tracking Army Fitness Test events, personal targets, and measurement history across disconnected tools can make it harder to see progress.

Who it's for

Service members seeking a personal way to record fitness events and track progress.

The approach

Design an iOS planning experience around recording test-day results, reviewing history, and setting per-event goals; distinguish personal planning from official Army scoring and policy guidance.

What exists today

  • Public Apple App Store release: Army AFT Score, credited to developer Rony Karim, listed for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
  • A SwiftUI test-day workflow with live totals, per-event target guidance, general/combat standards and offline personal history.
  • Separate on-device fitness/body-composition history and a guest-check profile, with an unofficial-planning disclaimer.

My contribution

I established the product direction for practical Army fitness planning, specified the key use cases, and guided AI-assisted iteration and testing. The Apple App Store publicly attributes Army AFT Score to developer Rony Karim; individual technical contributions and government affiliation should not be inferred beyond the available records.

Current status

Released on the public Apple App Store under the name Army AFT Score, with Rony Karim credited as developer. Apple lists iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch compatibility. The app is an unofficial personal planning tool, not an Army-approved scoring system or a substitute for current unit guidance. Public listing confirms distribution, not independent validation of every calculation.

Next steps

  • Maintain the released application and assess new changes against current authoritative Army test tables.
  • Verify current scoring edge cases and device-specific behavior as part of future updates.
  • Keep app privacy/support pages and release screenshots current.
